Health is not something that can be ignored. We need to give a special attention to our health during the preparation. On this World Health Day, We bring you 5 easy and proven tips through which you can keep yourself healthy and study effectively for your exams.
1. Eat Less CRAP, Eat more FOOD
Nothing is as Good as a Good Food. But Wait! Are you eating a ‘Good’ Food or Just a crap for taste? Avoid the intake of fast foods, unhealthy snacks with irregular intervals of eating, an insufficient amount of water and fluids. All you need to do is to quickly make up a diet plan and stick to it.
Everything goes Right, if you have planned Your Diet.
Eat Less CRAP –
- Carbonated drinks
- Refined Sugar
- Artificial sweeteners & colors
- Processed food
Eat More FOOD
- Fruits and Veggies
- Organic lean proteins
- Omega 3 Fatty acids
- Drink Water
2. A Light Diet is an Ideal Diet
Ideal diet is a nutrition rich diet. Light food with a good amount of nutrition composition is a perfect choice during the course of study. Avoid eating heavy meals that can in turn make you lethargic and tired. Along with the breakfast, lunch & dinner, make sure to have two mini meals planned within the day, one for nuts and sprouts, one for fruits. Try consuming Vitamin B rich food that is high in fibers which helps to enhance memory.
3. Physical exercise energizes your body; mental exercise energizes your mind
Each and Every second during the exam time is essential, and taking out dedicated hours for workouts may not be of high priority. But, to keep going forward, our body and mind needs regular exercise. It is advisable to make a routine for warm up exercises that loosen up the body stress built up from sitting long hours of study during your study-break hours. Or you can give 10-15 minutes for a jog or cycling around your place in nearby circumference. Each morning, make sure to practice Yoga & Meditation for a minimum duration of 30 minutes to charge up your mind, preparing for the upcoming challenges and stress free day.
4. Take Regular Breaks & Adequate Sleep
All the hard work, late nights, and early mornings will only pay off if you have a good sleep, of about 7 to 9 hours in a day that will have a positive impact on all your efforts. Sacrificing our sleep will not only make you physically unhealthy, but mentally unstable too. To get best of the results of hard work, our body and mind needs regular rest to absorb them as a memory formation process. Proper sleeps helps in reducing stress level, and decrease the release of stress hormone, called cortisol that causes stress only.
Follow the 90-minute cycle. It is proven that our brain can stay focused for only 90-120 minutes for the optimum results. Therefore, it is advisable to take 10-20 minutes of rest after each 90 minute of our study.
5. Look for Advice & Help
Always Ask- When in Doubt. Asking For Advice Makes You Look Smarter, Not Dumber. Even if you are starting the preparations, or have already started, you can go for an expert advice. A teacher helps the student to become aware by sharing their knowledge and experience.
